Immense sianz0rz

I just feel damn sian lah. Don't feel like blogging. >_>

I've like backlog from all directions:

Anime: Fate/Stay Night
Games: KHII + GGXX/ to find, WA4/Golden Sun to complete. (Not sure why these two are here but >_>)
Books: The Crucible
ISO: Survey, Interview, Case Studies, AND MY BLOODY BOOK damnit. Hey Mel, if you're online anytime could ya IM me, I've a favour to ask of you >_>
Chinese: The lot of 'em >_> Chi File >_>
Math: Amath Project + File + Immense backlog >_>
Physics: Project

And I am so bloody sian I don't feel like doing anything about it at all. =\ Heck, I'm so bloody sian I don't even feel like thinking. =\ My brain has been like dead for the past few days already. =
I can't believe it, at this rate I may actually become emo HAHAHA (sorry, that joke just wasn't that funny was it >_>). =
Bleh nevermind. Nothing really worth talking about. >_>

More anime

I had been planning on writing a post similar to one I found on i-do-not-speak (Which is incidentally a very good blog btw. And Mel, it's not wrong to assume that the writer in question is actually smart. >_>), but the problem is that somehow the post has been deleted. Unsure why, but that means that I can't carry on with that post. Immense sianz0rznezz overcomes my heartz0rz. (Combine this with immense procrastination and NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUing in the background and you kinda get why this is off-schedule. >_>)

Cineleisure Trip: SZ not included:

Hammie is ownage. Srsly.

JK owns my ass hands down at DDR. Srsly.

JK Uber GG Vid

Videos of ZQ playing Para Para Paradise have not got to me, I must ask Boey Yang and get them so I can upload them here =)

Bugis Trip, SZ Included:

Came in first thing and got kicked out in 5 seconds flat. Damn you random evil-looking worker. Spending time at Kinokuniya is as amusing as ever, after all seeing anime maid figurines baring their breasts in an anime magazine is such the new thing. I wonder how many little kids browsing through the manga there have been converted to the dark side of Japanese tendencies (Apart from turning into Otakus who scour magazines over figurines >_>). Rozen Maiden is up to 5 there, but I doubt I'd be buying that anytime soon. Yotsuba&! 5 is not translated yet, so I'm gonna have to wait some more. =
After SZ, Ian and TKK came, we returned to ze arcade. And we watched SZ's gracious fall from pro h4xx0rz in GGXX#R to pro nonh4xx0rz in GGXX/ (I can't call him n00b because I still lost to his Ky). Spent quite a lot of cash over there.

TAKOYAKI IS TEH OWNAGE. We all love takoyaki. Katamari Damacy should have a stage for rolling up stuff with a takoyaki. That would be so immensely retarded it would be cool.

NCOC: PURE SIANZ0RZ. =
--------------------------------------------------------

Bleh, my blog's turned from a chronology to something worth reading and back into a chronology again. Obviously my brain is too sianz0rz'd over NCOC to be able to think of anything good to write about. =\

Little things in life that make you smile 1

"One day, someone gave me a box of chocolates with pistachios inside. In the box, there were 5 meticulously kept chocolates, wrapped beautifully in purple and gold foil.
I opened the box, and decided I must share this gift. So I took out one and gave it to Luoning, my desk partner. She thanked me profusely and even pasted it in her 'Diary Note'. This just shows how much it meant to her.
I realised I needed to give Connie... So, I took out another one and passed it to her, but to my sadness... ...
Connie:I won't take it! This means a lot to you!!!
Me: I don't care, just take it!
Connie: but it really means a lot to you!
Me: See Connie, to me this pistachio means 20% (1/5), but to you it means 50%.(1/2) The percenatge increases! So it is worth it!
Connie: *confused*
Me: *... ...*
Connie: *enlightened*
Me: *smiles*
Connie: *smiles*
The pistachio meant more for YOU..."

- spicata-x-arpa, otherwise known as Leona.

Oh, the little things in life that make you just smile. =)

Suzumiya Haruhi to Ore no Yuuutsu

"Do you ever get the feeling you're just a small nail on this Earth?"

She continued, "I have, and I'll never forget it."

Haruhi stood by the railway tracks, sorry, the railway path, and began to talk.

"When I was in sixth grade, I went with my family to see a baseball game. I wasn't really interested in baseball, yet when I went there, I was given a shock, since everywhere I looked there were people all around. The people at the opposite of the stadium were as small as a grain of rice, in constant motion. I had thought the whole nation had gathered upon this spot then. So I asked my dad how many people were at the stadium. My dad said as it was full that day, maybe around fifty thousand?

"After the game, the roads were packed with people. Seeing all this, I was stunned. There were so many people here, yet they were only a tiny fraction of the whole nation. I read in geography class that Japan had a population of a hundred million, so I went home and did some math using a calculator, and I found out that fifty thousand was only one out of two thousand of the total population. At that time, I was stunned again. I was only a small part of so many people in the stadium, and this many people were merely one out of two thousand of the whole nation.

"Before that, I had always felt myself to be special. I was happy with my family, and I felt I was with the world's most interesting people in my class. Yet from that time on, I realized things weren't like that. The experiences I had in school that I thought were the happiest things in the world, turned out to exist in every school. For the whole nation, this was nothing special. When I discovered that, the whole world around me lost its color. I brush my teeth and go to sleep, then wake up and have breakfast. You see these things everywhere.

"I found it extremely boring when I realized all these things are all part of a person's ordinary life. I believe that since there're so many people in this world, there has to be someone who's living an extraordinary, exciting life. But why isn't that person me?

"Before I graduated from elementary school, I thought all about it. So when I entered junior high, I decided to change myself. I wanted to let the world know, I'm not a girl who will only sit and wait. I believe I've tried my best, but everything's the same as it's always been. And now I'm in high school, still hoping for something to change."

When she finished she gave an expression of regretting ever saying all that, and looked at the sky in anguish.
Haruhi said this without pause, as though giving a speech in a debate. When she finished she gave an expression of regretting ever saying all that, and looked at the sky in anguish. A train passed rapidly by us. Thanks to all the rumbling noise, I had time to consider if I should continue asking or whether I should find something philosophical to please Haruhi.

- Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, Chapter 6 (Baka-Tsuki fan translation)

------------------------------------------------

I've always thought myself that 2.12 was a great class. Being in it was wonderful, one-of-a-kind, the best class around. I once thought that nothing was like 2.12 '05. But during my searching up on Ferd Quek's CSS musical, I came across many ACSian blogs as well. And when I read them, I lost a bit of my happiness everytime I saw someone praising their class, saying how wonderful it was.

It somehow just pains me to know that 2.12 '05 was as great as 2.12 '04 was as great as 2.12 '03 was as great as 3.09 '05 was as great as 3.09 '04 was as great as 3.09 '03 was as great as 3.10 '05 was as great as 3.10 '04 was as great as 3.10 '03. My heart couldn't take it.

I had once taken prestige in being vice-chairman. I had once taken prestige in being chairman. I knew that life would be different as vice-chair, as chairman, and so on. I didn't mind returning the key every single day. It gave me responsibility. It gave me a sense of belonging. It gave me participation. It gave me self.

The very same self that every other chairman and class monitor of other schools have similarly had.

"To be forgotten is worse than death." Freya Crescent

It is scary. It is scary to know that whatever you had done was not in vain. It is scary to know that whatever you had done was successful. It is scary to know that whatever whatever you had done has paid off and was not meaningless.

But it is more scary to know that everyone had done it, and you're just continuing on in the circle of life, and not breaking out of societal norms. After all attempts to break out of the norm, I have done so, and in doing so entered another norm, just as significant as this. And I could work even harder than I did to break out of it, and enter yet another norm. And again. And again.

And the worst part is that I cannot say that this was in vain because I have done so and gone through it successfully. Because I have went and broke out of a norm. Because I have went and changed myself. Because in all terms of the word I have been successful.

Until I compare myself with others.

Past all attempts to become a unique being, I managed to become a unique being.
Just like you.
Just like him.
Just like her.
Just like everyone else on the planet.
Unique.

It's a wonderful thing, isn't it? To sail around the world in the name of exploration, and finally after months of sailing with no land in sight finally get a sight upon an unknown new land. It's completely wonderful, that feeling. Until you walk further into it and set your sights on a town. And suddenly it feels reminiscent. And you go into thaqt town, and everything seems familiar. All too familiar. Then your wife runs up to you in tears and cries "Welcome back."

Wonderful, isn't it? To sail in exploration, to reach out to far lands, to see a land that none have, to break out of what you were in. And through it all, your greatest reward were the words "Welcome back". Wonderful gift, isn't it?

I always thought I was one who had an effect on life. This obviously is not so as I have suddenly quartered in my blog visitors (Which is truly quite curious) >_> Nonetheless, I end up feeling now like an absolute vain being on the planet. Zomg emo? No. Zomg revelation.

I used to think that I was one who was important. I used to think that what I did was significant. I lost a bit of myself each time I heard someone else who thought the same way. Then I read that segment of Chapter 6, and damn, I can't help but agree. =
Sure there's gonna be those who cry endlessly about how I've touched their lives and all, but I cannot just satisfy myself with being a tear of passion in an ocean of apathy.

This may be angst, this may be emo. But this is probably just me being set back slightly. After all, I just have to work harder. Break further into newer norms. Smaller norms. Until I create a norm of my own. Till then, I can just work hard, knowing that I'm not some omnipotent-yet-unintelligent god who attempts to destroy the world over being on the losing side of a baseball game. >_>

Corporate T-Shirts, Lost Keys, Jarrel Seah and more.

Our new corporate T-Shirt is wonderful. It looks alot worse than our older one. Must we change it? Blue is a cool colour, yellow doesn't look nearly as nice. Personally I'd be ashamed to wear it at the rugby finals. Even then, a rule is a rule >_>

I just hope that if we ever get 'Corporate T-Shirt Days' we'd be allowed to wear our older Corporate Tees rather than these new yellow ones. =
And I can't wear it at home either because it isn't nearly as oversized as my S1 Orientation jersey (I have a tendency to wear oversized clothes at home, don't ask >_>). =\ But oh well.

"I wanted to talk about the bishop and why some questions aren’t just a question but more like a self degrading announcement on how shallow and unread one is." - iphoting

I assume that you were referring to Jarrel Seah, since I hardly can believe that you would say this to anyone else (After all he's the only one I can think of that fitted this description). I admit that he did his questioning extremely crudely, and completely ignored any signs from the audience that he should just shut up. And I also admit that he is not actually well-versed in the bible and not readily able to attack it specifically on any part, instead using the common argument of it being written by man and not by god, and some other stuff.

I admit that his questions were rather signifying of the impression that he was shallow and unread, because in all honesty some of his answers were indeed extremely shallow and atypical (Whether it's a good interpretation is also debatable) interpretations of the bishop's replies.

But nonetheless, I doubt that you could actually hold him in an argument. Perhaps it's that he's better than you at arguing, perhaps it's that he knows more about you on said subject, or perhaps it's that he just doesn't get any points for the other side, nonetheless you wouldn't be able to do so. Actually, that's completely irrelevent >_> I do agree with you generally, but hey, what can you do. Some GEPs are GEPs. >_>

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The key hath been lost. Kwong is in great distress. I mean, one has to be in great distress if he blogs about a key >_> Oh well, let's hope our new one stays and I turn out to be more competent in regards to handling the key.

Oh, and sorry to everyone who was stuck outside class today due to me not passing the key to anyone for ISO. Major incompetence on my part >_<

But apparently I heard none of you could come up with a good replacement for chairman. Dear me, did every competent man really go and become a prefect? >_>

Another fragmented post, coz well I'd rather save the rest of my thoughts and post a long post on a single topic. >_>

Bryan Ong, Xbox 360 and Immense misconceptions

Talking to Bryan about how Xbox 360 had a bad showing at this year's E3, and PS3 will dominate Xbox 360 for this year's Christmas (Ignoring the fact that the Wii will probably beat both) (Not verbatim):

Bry: But they have Perfect Dark Zero wad!
Herr: That's a launch title, I'm talking about E3 2K6. >_>
Bry: Oh, right, then they have Fable 2, Jade Empire 2 and Knights of the Old Republic III.
Herr: O_O Jade Empire 2 and KotOR III? Holy crap o_O. I didn't know that.
Bry: And they have Halo 3.
Herr: Which is due to release next year. PS3's still going to beat it this Christmas.
Bry: But Bill Gates said that Halo 3 would release at the same time as the PS3, so that "The moment PS3 releases it will clash with Halo 3."
Herr: PS3 is set to release this year. Halo 3's set to release next year.
Bry: PS3 has been delayed.
Herr: o_O (Again?)
Jerrold (Comes in): But then it's Bill Gates lah, he would obviously speak up for Halo right. It's probably exaggerated or something.
Bry: I guess...

Me: o_O o_O o_O JE2 KotOR3 PS3 delayed o_O

Me: (Now at home)

Me: *Checks google for Halo 3 release date*:

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/business/225346_msftnotebook23.html

Hmm, he's right about the facts, but then this was from last year. E3 trailer was this year. I'm inclined to believe the latter. >_>

Me: *Checks google for PS3 release date*:

Release date: November 2006 (17th Nov 2k6, but this may not be true, so safest to say is Nov)

Hmm, I guess he was talking about the delay from Spring 2k6 to November 2k6. Outdated again >_>

Me: *Checks gametrailers for Fable II, Jade Empire II and KotOR III*

*watches Fable II* Release date in 2007 =\ Definitely a good game though.

*Does not find JE II and KotOR III* o_O

*Searches google for JE II and KotOR III* Games that have yet to be announced... eh, not very teh accuratez is it. >_> Not even announced at E3 2K6, maybe 2K7 but that's another year to come.

After all that from Bryan Ong, I think I'm inclined to continue thinking of myself as more up-to-date as of current on this. >_>

Post-Examinations 2006

And......w00t, the exams are over.

A Math was surprisingly easier than I thought. I was thinking that I'd confirm get 50 marks gone straight off the start of the paper, and now I only lost 10 definitely. >_>

DAMN YOU LINEAR LAW >_>

But, yes, anyway.

--------------------------------------------------------

Was reading Flame of Recca a few days ago (Gid's sudden wanting to read it respaked interest in it) and Mom was like "Hey Herr, when'd you buy this?" and I was like "Sis bought this" and she was like "When'd she buy this?" and I was like "A long time ago" and she was like "Hey this reminds me"

And then she went to the rightmost cupboard below our bookshelf and took out like 20 books of 3x3 Eyes, the entire Anime Comics series of Sailormoon R, and two more of some weird anime called Graduation. Haven't got around to reading those yet due to rereading Flame of Recca, but I guess I'd be starting with that Graduation first, since it's just two books (Ignoring the fact that it's probably not complete, hehe >_>)

The most queer part is that Gwin knew about this, yet I didn't. Meh. Srsly, if your mom just suddenly goes "That reminds me" (well, not verbatim, but rather mandarin. Nonetheless you get the point >_>) and takes out like 2/3rds the entire 3x3 Eyes series (which is 34 or so books total), in good condition despite being from 10 years ago, and everyone else but you takes this normally, you'd be in a state of wtf too. >_>

"First an alien... now a time traveller shows up. What's going on here? If someone out there can hear all this and be like "Okay, sure," and believe it all, let me know. We can trade places." - Kyon, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu

SZ has expressed interest in Sailormoon R, much to amusement and certain despair. Oh well. >_>

----------------------------------------------------------------

E3 2K6:

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is absolutely stunning. Super Smash Brothers Brawl has SOLID SNAKE inside it, garnering instant awesome points. The Nintendo Revolution - oh, sorry, it's called the Wii now >_> - seems to doing rather well, as compared to the Gamecube's rather lackluster performance overall in comparison to PS2 and Xbox (That said, Nintendo always manages to make money despite losing market share, something the other two have not been exactly capable of. Haha) Well, then again, what can you expect? The XBox 360 mostly failed to show any amazing games that managed to wow the audience this year, AND it was released last year so it doesn't have the grace of having launch titles at E3. The Playstation 3 is priced at a blody US$599.99 dollars, and I doubt I'd be able to afford that for a very long time. The Wii on the other hand is set to cost about US$250, about $50 less than a normal XBox 360, and $150 or so less than the premium Xbox 360. Curse you PS3 and your immensely expensive costs.

Final Fantasy XIII looks extremely good. Looking forward to playing it in a few years from now. Way more promising than FF XII IMO at least.

Halo 3 is not set for a Christmas release, which means that PS3 will probably dominate the market this year if they get a price cut. Which is not likely. But then again there's always the chance that buggers out there bug their parents into buying a PS3 despite its huge costs. And they didn't show any gameplay. =
Project Gotham Racing 3 for XBox 360? BAH. Get outta the way, Gran Turismo HD is in da house. I thought PGR3 looked cool and realistic. GTHD trumps it in every single aspect. Disbelievers should go to gametrailers and watch the E3 GTHD vid this instant. GTHD is just THAT good.

Metal Gear Solid 4's trailer is also extremely amazing. Enough to wow zis gamer here who has never played Metal Gear Solid before, haha. Old Snake looks like he sure can still kick ass. Maybe I should borrow MGS from Job or something.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Sound editing is schadenfreude (Which Gid apparently thought was schaden freude and not one word >_>). Seriously. Words fail to describe the sadness and torture involved in hearing my bro put some freaked up version of some cutesy song to make it sound like a guy singing a girl song.

----------------------------------------------------------------

And more fregmentations as usual. Not much more to say at this current point of time. >_>

Batam Trip + Pre-Exam Sianness

Now in an immense state of sianz0rznezz, thus my blog may turn out very teh shortz0rz. =
Batam Trip:
Very teh sianz0rz.

Life:
Very teh sianz0rz.

Meh, not alot of details is it >_>

Batam Trip:

I'll think twice about going to Batam in ze near future. Holiday Inn wasn't too bad, but well.

I think my dislike for bimboticness originated from my choir. There are like 4 immense bimboes in teh choir. Well. =
Though I must admit, the Batam Trip was rather fun. Somewhat. Lounge singing is ownage. And so are cocktails (Though Gwin didn't really let me drink, just a few sips. Owns Heineken and Anchor by a long shot (Haha pun) though (Heineken and Anchor aren't judged after drinking cans, btw. Like maybe a 1/4cup at best. Heineken > Anchor though.)

I think I understand why people like to drink when they turn 18. I just drank a bit, but Long Islands are ownage. Cocktails seriously are waaaay different from mocktails. Teh widl bit of alcohol makes all the difference.

But I must also remember the fear of drinking too much alcohol: You sing really loud in karaoke. Oh gosh that hurt. Darn you Jia Ying and Hui Yun >_<. Si Jia is pro hax though. Then again her bro's one of the lead singers at New Creation, so.

Esther says that I'm turning old too quickly, because I have a liking to tea. ;_;

Batam shopping malls are utter ownage. They are two floors high, and one of the floors is just a gigantic clothes store. The stores below are also rather lacking. And the escalator doesn't work. And they sell Magnum ice cream. That I bought.

That had the outer coat of chocolate dislocated from the vanilla core, and had cracks all along the chocolate coat, and had yellow-white-translucentish (Words fail me here >_>) icing keeping the outer coat from flying about in the innocent-looking Magnum package. ;_;

Bo Xun: Hey you bought that as well? Piece of shitz right. Expired already lor.
Me: ...ouch. *throws in dustbin*

Apparently the stock there had expired since 2005. Geez. =
Oh well, t'was fun and all in the end, though I'd pass on returning there anytime soon. >_>

-------------------------------------------------------

I am not stressed about my exams. Not alot at least. I am also going to die for the exams. It is all the teacher's faults lol. >_>

Let's see who actually does revision for exams:
Mrs. Sandra Sim
Mr. Dennis Sim
Mr. Andrew Wong

Mr. Ferdquek: Ohs nohz the exams are closing I must speaketh moor bullshitz!
Mr. See Boon Thiam (sp?): Ohs nohz the exams are coming I must giveth abundent exam papers! Oh no, I haven't taught you some stuff? Internet to the rescue!
Mr. Jason Chan: Our agenda: Smile =D
Mr. Ng Yew Hock: Ohs nohz the exams are coming let us do what we have always done and continue as per normal >_>
Mr. Moghan Das: Stressed for exams? REPRESSED MEMORIES, I SAY!
Mrs. Loo Shek Kien: Ohs hohz the exams are coming, but oh well Chinese can't be studied for anyway so let us continue as per normal >_>
Mrs. Karen Yap: Ohs nohz the exams are coming, I must teach Milonial Theorem!

So yeah. All their fault. >_>

Disclaimer (I dislike publicly apologizing >_>): The statements are actually rather unreflective of the fact that they actually do something about the exams >_> I do not know about See Boon Thiam, I just heard about it from others. >_> Ferdiquek does try to teach us stuff, but he also speaks so much amusing bs in the middle of the lesson that it is nonetheless hard to ignore. Loo Shek Kien and Ng Yew Hock have always consistently been giving us homework from the beginning up till the end of time (Haha Fayt >_>) thus being no different from before's fine. Mrs. Karen Yap, uhh. I guess she's trying to teach us Milonial Theorem quickly and has faith in us >_> Mr. Moghan Das is awesome. And we all love Jason Chan =D

...whatever, I'm worried I'm not gonna do well >_>
